Eeeekkkk…Another case of the frizzies!

VS

Does your hair leave you looking like the picture on the left or the right in the mornings?

If you choose left, then you need a sleeping cap. Sleeping on a cotton or polyester pillow case can cause damaging effects on your hair. It is the major cause of frizz, dryness and breakage in hair. The fibers of the pillow case absorb the oils and moisture out of your hair. The fibers can also roughen the cuticle in your hair, which will increase split ends. Consider this…you sleep on that pillow anywhere from 6-8hrs, so that is 6-8hrs of rubbing and friction going on between you and your favorite pillow.

A satin sleep cap is smoother than your pillow case and will allow your hair to retain its moisture. It’s also great for protecting styles overnight. Head scarves and bandannas are helpful, depending on the type of material, but are prone to sliding off while you sleep and flattening your curls. A satin sleep cap will stay on and keep hair protected all night.

You spend several of your hard earned dollars in hair treatments to improve the look and quality of your hair, the last thing you want to do is to reverse all of that progress.
